El Yeso Reservoir
Stunning landscape formed by turquoise waters and imposing mountains in the background!!
An incomparable setting, with the surrounding mountains always covered in snow. It's the perfect backdrop for capturing the moment with a great photograph.
Upon reaching the mountain range, we'll stop in San José de Maipo for breakfast and to recharge our batteries before comfortably climbing the challenging 700-meter hike that takes us to the viewpoint, from where we'll contemplate the sky reflected in the waters of the reservoir.
Next, we head to Salto el Yeso, a 15-meter waterfall with a safe viewing area. Here we'll rest, and if you wish, you can take advantage of the opportunity to have your own picnic.
Later, we will visit the Tinoco Tunnel, built in 1906, through which a small railway ran, connecting the high bridge with the mining town of El Volcán.
We'll sweeten our excursion with a visit to the original ice cream and chocolate shop La Casa de Chocolate, which stands out for its exquisite artisanal flavors and the architecture and sculptures that adorn the terrace and gardens.
Colina Valley Hot Springs
We'll continue our tour along the Volcano Route. We begin by walking a dirt trail from San Gabriel, 14 km from the hot springs. A secluded, majestic, and peaceful place at the foot of the Andes Mountains, you'll experience the highly mineralized natural waters of magmatic origin, which come from the bowels of the San José Volcano and have a series of healing properties, all housed in the hot springs of Valle de Colina.
The temperatures of these magical hot springs range from 25 degrees Celsius in the lowest pools to 55 degrees Celsius in the highest. The resort is also surrounded by a wonderful mountain setting, offering majestic views of the Andes Mountains.
You can immerse yourself and relax in the hot springs of this wonderful place. This trip allows you to open your mind and heart to new experiences. It allows you to discover that the world is as big as your dreams and as uncertain as your ability to explore it.
